Jared Petras

Growing up, I had the luck of crossing paths with coach Martin during my soccer journey. From an early age Coach Martin did what every coach should do for their players— Instill a foundation of love for the game and the self belief to go after my dreams. Even throughout my later playing years, Coach Martin and I always stayed in touch and always knew what to say to get the best out of me. I owe him so much for my success in soccer. Soccer has not only given me the best memories of my life, but though my playing career I was able to get through college and play at the pro level.

He was such an inspiration to me, that now that I am a coach too, we often talk about our players and what’s new in the coaching world. When I coach, it is my great hope that I can have the same impact that he had on me because it’s played such a positive impact on my life.
